Privacy policy
Short version: we only collect what you send us, we don't track your visit at all, and we never sell anything to anyone.
Who we are
Haad Yao Divers is responsible for the personal information described on this page.
We are based at 84/31 Moo 8, Koh Phangan, Surat Thani. If you have any questions about your information, email us at contact@haadyaodivers.com and a person will answer.
What you send us
When you use the booking form we ask for your name, email address, phone number, which course or trip you are interested in, your preferred date, your current certification level, and anything you write in the message box.
We use it to answer you and to arrange your diving. That is all. It is emailed to the shop and stored on this website so we can find it again when you arrive.
You do not need an account to book, and we do not ask you to make one.
What is recorded automatically with your enquiry
When a booking form is submitted, the software also records the IP address it came from, the browser used, and the city and country that IP address resolves to. This is standard anti-spam and troubleshooting information; it is stored with the enquiry and is not used to build any profile of you.
Our web host keeps its own server access logs, as every web host does. Those are the host's records, kept for their own security and diagnostics.
We do not track your visit
This site runs no analytics, no advertising pixels and no visitor tracking of any kind. Reading these pages leaves nothing on your device and tells us nothing about you.
That is also why there is no cookie banner: there are no cookies to ask you about. The only cookies this site can set are the ones WordPress uses to keep a staff member signed in to the admin area, and you will never meet those as a visitor.
The reviews on our home page
The Google reviews shown on this site are public reviews left on our Google Business Profile. We store a copy on our own server and display it in our own layout, which means your browser does not contact Google when you read them and Google is not told that you visited us.
The initials on each review are drawn from the reviewer's public name; we do not load their Google profile pictures.
What we never do
We do not sell, rent or trade your information to anyone, for any purpose.
We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you made a booking enquiry.
How long we keep it
Booking enquiries stay on this website so we have a record of what was arranged. Ask us to delete yours and we will.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will deal with it.
Children
We run PADI Junior courses for divers aged 10 and up, which means a booking sometimes includes a child's name and date of birth. A parent or guardian must provide that information and agree to the booking on the child's behalf.
We do not knowingly collect information from a child through this website directly.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page.
