Koh Phangan is a wonderful place to learn diving. The waters in the bays around the island are shallow, making it easy for you to take your first breath from a scuba tank. There are no strong currents and all the dive sites are very close to the island.

PADI Courses GO TEC

Technical diving is one of the fastest growing segments of the recreational diving business. PADI SPECIALTY Courses

If there’s a specific area of diving which interests you, then the PADI Speciality Courses are what you need to increase your knowledge and expertise. Each course is tailor made to teach you what you need to know to maximise your enjoyment. Courses can last from a single day to several days, depending upon the specialty and your timetable.

Our Company

Established in 1997, HAAD YAO DIVERS was the first Dive Centre on the West Coast of Koh Phangan and therefore one of the island's pioneer dive operations.

HAAD YAO DIVERS started as a small outfit on Haad Yao beach with only one PADI Instructor and Divemaster, but quickly became a professional PADI Resort Dive Centre. Since 2005 we are the only PADI awarded 5 Star Gold Palm Dive Center on Koh Phangan. Today our team is an international one consisting of enthusiastic and highly qualified PADI Instructors and Dive Masters from England, France, Switzerland and Germany. We still belong to the group of smaller dive operators on the island which deal in quality rather than quantity, therefore we always know our divers by name.

Our main office is on Haad Yao with two outlets on Mae Haad and Haad Chao Phao.

Run by european management we are commited to the quality and high standards you would find at home. We are using only good quality equipment (Scubapro, Technisub, Aqualung, Mares) and all our dive equipment is well maintained and professionally serviced annually.

Koh Phangan Dive Trips

OUR DIVETRIPS ARE RELAXED PERSONALISED AND FUN. There are an abundance of Dive Sites around Koh Phangan which are perfect for beginners and experienced divers.

Situated between Koh Samui and Koh Tao, Phangan is an ideal central location with easy access to all the prime dive sites in the Gulf. The boat trips to Sailrock, Angthong Marine Park, Koh Tao are the shortest from Koh Phangan. The local dive sites along our coastline of the island are at a maximum distance of thirty minutes from the dive centre. The unspoilt reefs along Phangan's west coast are relatively shallow but offer all kind of hard and soft corals and a huge variety of marinelife.

Koh Phangan Boat Dives

On a weekly schedule we offer day trips to famous dive sites like Sailrock, Angthong National Marine Park, Koh Tao or Chumphon Pinnacle. We have a large custom built dive boat, which we feel makes our trips much more comfortable than those offered by a small high speed boat.

HAAD YAO DIVERS is the only dive operator visiting the unspoilt dive sites along the west coast of Koh Phangan. Because of short distances these sites can be visited with a traditional longtailboat. Our favourite sites are Koh Mah, Haad Salad or Kong Yai.

Koh Phangan Beach Dives

It's just a short walk directly from the beaches to any of the reefs we use and our favourite sites are Haad Yao and Koh Maa at Mae Haad.

Both reefs offer a variety of hard and soft corals and various tropical reef fish like parrotfish, butterflyfish and barracudas.
These are perfect places for newly certified divers or divers that are a little out of practice and want to refresh their diving skills.

Koh Phangan Dive Sites

The Gulf of Thailand is sheltered from the Pacific ocean in part by the South China sea and that protection gives the Gulf a number of high quality dive sites which can be dived all year round. As all the dive sites are near to Koh Phangan our divers benefit from shorter boat rides and being first at the site. Pelagic fish such as whale sharks are frequent visitors.

Koh Phangan's west coast offers a large range of dive sites and marine life. The dive sites are used much less frequently than some of the neighbouring Koh Tao sites and offer healthier coral reefs.
There is something for everyone. If you are a beginner or have not been in the water for a while there are protected shallow reefs and if you have a bit more experience the world famous Sailrock or Southwest Pinnacle are just around the corner.
Koh Phangan also exclusively offers sunset and night diving at Sailrock!

Koh Phangan Snorkelling

We welcome snorkelers and non divers to join our day trips on the dive boat which has a large, relaxing sun deck. Breakfast, a thai buffet lunch and soft drinks are provided free of charge all day.

Angthong Marine National Park, Koh Tao or Koh Phangan's westcoast are great for snorkelling where you can experience the same marinelife as divers. If you are new to snorkelling, or would like some more guidance, we offer a one day Discover Snorkelling Course.
